Guidelines and examples for developing a Unit of Study Outline

These guidelines are to be read in conjunction with the UoS Outline templateand the UoS Outline template instructions.  They provide advice for the preparation of UoS Outlines as well as examples as shaded text that coordinators might wish to use or adapt as appropriate. The guidelines have been expanded, particularly for the new preparer, to contain many more examples, plus references to research literature (e.g. Ramsden) and step-by-step advice to assist developing some of the more challenging items.

NB: Faculty L&T Committee requires UoS Outlines to be printed and distributed to students in the first week of the semester.
